The trio were among the semi-finalists of last year's event, which saw eXtatus claim the grand prize of over $9,500 after defeating Tricked 2-0 in the title decider. North Academy, who went out in the semi-finals, were also invited back to the event, but the Danish organisation declined the offer, with their spot now up for grabs. eXtatus invited back to CBE after winning the 2017 event
Sixty-four teams will be taking part in CBE 2018, which will run from September 3-9 in Sønderborg, in southern Denmark. Forty slots will be taken by teams bringing their own computers to the event, while the last 24 places will be filled through invites and qualifiers.
